how much does a family photographer cost in sydney?

Portrait sessions start from $649, family sessions from $899, and personal branding sessions from $1,299. These are flat rates for a standard session, not hourly, and not a “contact for pricing” situation.

what's actually included

Every session includes the full set of edited photos delivered as digital files, sized ready for printing, with no real restrictions on how you use them. Turnaround is generally 3-4 weeks, though I aim to have everything back within 2 weeks wherever possible.

Session length varies by type:

  • Portrait ($649): 60 minutes

  • Family ($899): up to 2 hours

  • Personal branding ($1,299): 90 minutes

if you're planning something bigger than a standard session

Larger events and celebrations, such as birthdays, milestone gatherings, that kind of thing, are priced differently and based on hours of coverage rather than a flat session rate:

  • 2 hours: $749

  • 4 hours: $1,499

  • 6 hours: $1,999

  • Full day (8+ hours): $2,749

weddings and travel

Wedding pricing is quoted individually rather than a fixed rate, since every wedding is different in scale and timing. If you're getting married outside the Sydney metro area - Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley - travel is factored into that individual quote rather than tacked on separately, so get in touch with your date and venue for an accurate number.

why flat, published pricing (mostly)

A lot of photographers only give pricing “on request.” I'd rather you know roughly what you're working with before we even talk, so you can decide if it's the right fit without an extra back-and-forth just to find out the number. The exceptions - weddings and larger events - genuinely do vary enough that a flat rate wouldn't be accurate, not because I'm trying to hide anything.

Have a look at the pricing page for the full breakdown, or the family photography page to see examples of the work itself. Get in touch if you want to talk through what's the right fit for you.
