Natural light photography uses available light - sunlight, open shade, light through a window - rather than artificial studio lighting and backdrops. The result tends to feel more organic and true to the actual moment, rather than a controlled, styled setup. Studio photography trades that for consistency: the same lighting every time, regardless of weather, time of day, or location.

Keep it simple and coordinated rather than matching exactly - think complementary tones instead of everyone in the same colour. Solid colours and soft patterns photograph better than busy prints or logos, and a bit of layering gives us more to work with across the session.

Portrait sessions start from $649, family sessions from $899, and personal branding sessions from $1,299. These are flat rates for a standard session, not hourly, and not a “contact for pricing” situation.

Early morning and late afternoon are generally the best windows for a beach family session; the light is softer and warmer at both ends of the day, rather than the harsh overhead glare of midday. Beyond the light itself, there are a few other practical reasons one might suit your family better than the other.

For newborn sessions, timing is more flexible than a lot of newborn photography advice suggests. I don't shoot the classic posed, curled-up-in-a-basket newborn look, so there's no tight window where the "right" shot has to happen.
